Through its housing policy, the City of Vienna has always sought to contribute to social integration and the quality of urban life. To that end, new construction projects are undertaken with a particular eye to mixing subsidy models intended for a variety of target groups. High architectural standards that draw minimal attention to material differences prevent the visible stigmatization of residents. The result is social cohesion and high-quality housing that benefits everyone.
